BROWN SIGNS ON A34
Project Summary: One of the brown signs on the A34, advertising the Silk Mill was slightly damaged in 2009. Under Highways agency regulations, the agency reserves the right to remove damaged signs and intended to remove all the signs, north and south of the town. This would detrimentally affect the level of visitors to the Silk Mill, many of whom visit because they have seen the signs.
Replacement signs on private land are being planned.
