NEW TOWN WEBSITE and
GILL NETHERCOTT AV SYSTEM
LAUNCHED ON MAY 1st 2010

Whitchurch now has a brand new and exciting community town website, (www.whitchurch.org.uk) managed by local people for the local town. It has a wealth of exciting features ranging from pages for local groups and businesses to visitor and travel information.
The launch was carried out by the new Carnival Queen straight after her crowning of the on the Meadow as part of the May Day celebrations - it was her first ever official function - cutting the website's ribbon!
The fun-packed afternoon continued with the launch and demonstration of the Centre's new AV system followed by a family showing of the Disney-Pixar film UP, and in the evening a gala showing of Nine.

The success of the town's website, belonging to the community, depends on a friendly inclusive approach that encourages participation and ownership.
The Whitchurch Association now oversees the site and has established a small volunteer team which is looking for local people of all ages, skills and interests to join it and make it a site of which our town can be proud.
